[GUEST BLOGGER WEEK] Follow The K-Pop Brick Road

I met Julyssa , the author of today's Guest Blogger Week post, in the most random of ways, but I'm very glad I did.  She's got the best stories to tell, and this one is no different.  This post is about how Julyssa got into Kpop and some of the interesting things she's doing with the genre all the way up there in Scandinavia.  Enjoy, and let me know how you got into Kpop and how you spread that Kpop love in the comments below. Follow The K-Pop Brick Road In less than two weeks I am hosting and producing the very first K-pop concert in Scandinavia. VIXX is coming to Sweden for a very historic concert.   It’s a historic moment that pretty much is still very surreal for me. I have so much work to do but I don’t feel like any of this will be real until the concert is over. I am extremely afraid, nervous and terrified but somehow this concert became a dream and it’s time to fulfill it. It’s funny how all of this started. If anyone would’ve told me five

Videos of the Day: TVXQ!'s "Catch Me" MV + Dance Practice

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had flu-like symptoms on Saturday and now it's Thursday and I'm just starting to feel a bit better.  I ended up with what I thought was a cold/flu but ended up being bronchitis, so forgive me for not blogging sooner.  I'm back though... and I missed so much stuff, of course.  If you're away from the Kpop world, a few days seems like a year, doesn't it?  Or maybe that's just me. I'm still going to talk about some songs that came out earlier this week, namely TVXQ! and their new comeback mv, "Catch Me".

Check Out TVXQ's Yunho and Changmin's "Mad Men" Style for Cosmopolitan Men + BTS

Here's TVXQ's Changmin and Yunho rocking that sophisticated "Mad Men" type style for Cosmopolitan Men Korea's September issue.  These Korean September issues are beautifully done, aren't they? Don't forget to scroll down for the BTS video at the end of this post.  Fyi, I'll be sure to post more pics if and when they become available.

Oh Taemin...  You've done it again.  You say you don't want to be called girly and yet here you are.

Airport Style: SMTown Artists Head to Japan for SMTown Live Tokyo III

Yesterday I gave you a glimpse of what the members of SHINee wore on their trip to Tokyo, Japan to perform in the SM Entertainment SMTown Live Tokyo III concerts.  Today it's all about the rest of them.  Scroll down for some airport fashion from TVXQ, SNSD aka Girl's Generation, f(x), EXO-M and EXO-K and Super Junior.   TVXQ

Shinee's JongKey and Minho in L.A. 120519

I'm sure many of you Kpop fans heard all about members of Shinee, Super Junior, EXO and TVXQ's Changmin being spotted by tons of fans in L.A. yesterday.  I'm posting up a few pics, mostly because I like what they're wearing. Harems and creepers on Jonghyun.  Are those Key's clothes perchance??

Airport Style: SMTOWN Artists Head to L.A.

I love some good airport fashion and Kpop artists rarely get on a plane looking like bootie.   Today is a great day to do this post, since the SMTOWN artists are all on their way to Los Angeles to get their SMTOWN Live World Tour III concert on, which will be held on May 20th. Shinee

Idol Style: Kpop and MCM

I'm not usually a label whore, especially for those designer brands that are all about putting their initials all over everything, but for some reason I can really get into the brand MCM.

Videos of the Day: Korean Mom's Dance Cover Class vs. The Real Deal

Last month, in my wanderings through YouTube, I found these videos of this mother's dance class from XX Dance School in Korea.  These mothers do dance covers of Kpop songs and they are awesome. The reason why I enjoy these so much is because, if you look closely at the video, you'll notice these are older women doing these dance covers really well and having a great time doing it.  I'm jealous because I want to take a class just like this.  If anyone knows of a Kpop dance cover class in NJ, hook me up! Anyway, I'm including the dance cover video and then a video of the real Kpop group so you can contrast and compare if you so desire. Hope you enjoy as much as I did... SMentertainment Releases Promo For "I AM" Movie Biography

SMent released a promo today about the movie they're filming, called "I AM", which will be the story behind SMTOWN.  Anyone can enter a video for a chance to be included in the movie.  The video can be a dance or song cover, a message to an SM artist, or a cosplay video. Sounds like so much fun right?  Love the idea and I can't wait to see the movie and enjoy everyone's videos.  Also wondering if that's Shinee's dorm at Key's part... I'm definitely checking out alllll those clothes behind the sliding glass doors and Minho and Taemin playing video games, not even paying attention to what's going on around them. For more info on how to enter your video, go here: http://global.mnet.com/iam/ucc.m .

Oooh TVXQ

An early '90s-ish, Jodeci-style slow jam, Kpop style that I've been listening to a lot recently. A friend of mine calls it the sex song.  Make sure to watch it in large screen HD to really appreciate every detail.  Source: sment What I think is hilarious: The slow-mo, beseeching hands and eyes, wind-blowing their tousled hair and clothing shots. What I love: The choreography and the fact that you wouldn't think you'd be hearing this sort of song coming out of their lips.  I also love the fact that Changmin (on the left, mostly) doesn't look like those sounds should come out that svelte body.  Especially love the dance break that starts at 3:27 and the extra special move at around 3:45. After seeing the fancams of them performing this at Madison Square Garden recently, all I have to say is, "Wow!"
